Twins Turn 5!
I absolutely cannot believe my tiny little boys are five years old! They are not nearly as independent as Katie was at this age, but they are definitely just as strong willed! We had their party at a local children's museum called The Muse, and it was a lot of fun! Since the boys aren't going to daycare anymore, we mostly invited my friends' kids and it turned out to be an odd range of ages. It totally didn't matter though since they all had so much fun. The boys mostly built things with the huge foam blocks, did a little putt putt golfing, and totally loved the planetarium show.
All in all I count it as a party success!

Life with little boys
Thomas got hurt last night, David had brought the little ottoman from our bedroom out into the living room and Thomas climbed up on it, then David pulled it out from under him. Thomas fell back and hit the back of his head on the bottom shelf of the bookcase and it cut his head a little.
Today David got hurt, just a few minutes ago. I don't know what happened, they were in their room to take a nap and I heard David screaming so I checked on them, and his left eye is swollen and there's a little cut on his eyelid.
I swear it will be a miracle if these boys survive to go to kindergarten.

Horrible Day! :P
So the weekend started out terrible. Katie and Daddy fell asleep on the couch and I got to put David to sleep. I stayed up then to do some laundry and straighten up a bit, and do some stuff on the stupid Facebook games my mom has gotten me addicted to. So far not too bad, but still not the best way to start the weekend with almost half the family not in their beds. :P Then Saturday morning (of Alan's weekend off which he only gets every two weeks) Thomas wakes up at 4 AM wanting to eat, and Alan goes to get him to bring him to me in the bed and steps in dog throwup in the babys' room. I'm so asleep I don't realize what's going on, I just roll over and feed the baby in the bed, I don't hear what happened until about 8 when Thomas woke up wanting to eat again. So I feed him again, then we hear David waking up, but since I'm already feeding Thomas, poor David has to wait until his brother is done so I can roll over because I'm so tired I can't get myself up to the couch where I can feed them both at the same time. After Thomas eats, Daddy takes him back to his crib to go back to sleep and David eats. Then, I'm so tired from staying up late the night before and feeding babies so much already that I don't want to get up until late, but everyone else is hungry so I have to make breakfast. I make breakfast for the three bigger people, then I go lay back down. Of course my nap does not go well at all with feeding babies alternately back and forth while I'm trying to sleep, but at least I get to lay down for a while longer. I finally get up around 2, whereupon my husband almost immediately falls asleep on the couch, and doesn't wake up until after 4, which means the day is completely gone almost and we've done absolutely nothing! I'm cranky because I still haven't really gotten enough actual *sleep*, and still nothing has gotten done, and Katie's running around with crazy amounts of energy getting into trouble left and right, and hubby is asleep on the couch! :P He finally gets up, takes Katie with him to the store to get some things to grill out for dinner. I've had to feed the babies so much that I haven't gotten to eat since breakfast, then right before supper is ready, one of them wakes up and wants to eat. When both the babies finally get fed, I'm so far past the point of hunger that I don't even want to eat anymore, and they are still hungry because I'm completely out of milk. So now, instead of finding something I might feel like eating, I have to get frozen milk out and thawed for them to have bottles. I end up making too much because it took so long for it all to thaw out that one of them went to sleep before it was ready and we wasted an ounce of milk. :O That did *not* improve the day at all! We eventually get both the boys down for the night, I make a bowl of Frosted Flakes, do two loads of laundry, two loads of dishes and get to bed at 3 in the morning after everyone else has been asleep for hours.
Horrible day!

Almost 33 weeks
Checkup at the OB today, everything good! Heartbeats are 140-150 for Baby A and 160's for Baby B. Cervix nice and closed, fetal fibronectin (predicts probability of preterm labor in the next two weeks) negative.
I can't believe how close it's getting! We've had the nursery painted for a few weeks now, but not really anything else. We got a futon to put in there for nursing/ holding babies purposes as well as grandparent overnight visits. However, there is no mattress on the futon, as Brown Squirrel Furniture tried to tell us the one we were buying was brand new, in spite of the black dog fur all over the tan mattress. :P
Now, Husband has gotten first child's old crib and changing table out of the attic and put together today, and my friend is coming over tomorrow to help me wash and put away new baby stuff. Things are coming together, and I'm feeling better about this the more we get done. I'm still pretty overwhelmed with the idea of TWO infants plus a preschooler to feed, clothe, change and entertain for twenty four hours EVERY DAY, but... I guess we'll see how it goes.

Getting started!
Well, I guess I can thank Maggie, aka Karen, for getting me into this! :P I *was* just going to check out her blog, but it kept asking me if I was creating my own and do this, do that, so sure enough I did! So, here I am I suppose, as if Facebook and Twitter weren't enough outlets for me. I'm kind of hoping to use this really as a record of life with my four, almost 5 year old daughter, and the twin boys I'm expecting any time in the next month or two. We'll see how much I actually get to come and write, but I'll try since I've started!
